{"id":2768,"date":"2014-05-02T20:41:38","date_gmt":"2014-05-03T00:41:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/jamieleger.com\/?p=2768"},"modified":"2015-01-02T20:46:00","modified_gmt":"2015-01-03T01:46:00","slug":"email-marketing-artists-musicians","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/jamieleger.com\/?p=2768","title":{"rendered":"Email Marketing for Artists and Musicians"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"p1\">I moved this class from the second phase because by this time you should have your Lead Magnet finished and I figured it would be more convenient for you<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">to learn the email marketing stuff when you were ready to go and implement these trade secrets.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Your email list IS your Tribe..<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">There are many people who are also apart of your Tribe who are NOT on your email list, but you need to MAKE SURE that they DO get on your list.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Not everyone ON your list is fully a part of your Tribe, but it\u2019s YOUR job to create the CULTURE and the CONNECTION that changes that.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">It is your NUMBER ONE goal to build an engaged, loyal audience that LOVES YOU!<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Your email list is your most precious asset, period&#8230;<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">You must NURTURE and interact and <i>genuinely<\/i> put yourself out there, as well as provide the most amount of value that you can to your subscribers.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Just real quick, if you are sending commercial emails, or you have a business, you need what\u2019s technically called an Email Service Provider&#8230;<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Also referred to as an Autoresponder, Email Marketing Service, or Autoresponder service&#8230;<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Technically \u201cAutoresponder\u201d is inaccurate, as the Autoresponder is <i>one<\/i> feature of your E.S.P<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">But anyway&#8230; You need one!<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">The reason why we all use an ESP is because of A. Deliverablity, and B. Tracking and Statistics.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">There are other nice things to have, but those are the two core reasons.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Any ESP you go with should offer at least a 99% deliverability rate, and a \u201cwhitelisting\u201d agreements feature in place.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">The Major Players Are:<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">aWeber<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Mailchimp<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">GetResponse<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Constant Contact<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">iContact<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><b>But Isn\u2019t Email Less Effective Today With all the Spam?<\/b><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">My email inbox is FULL almost all of the time!!<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Sometimes it\u2019s overwhelming, and such a pain to sift through because it\u2019s perpetually littered with JUNKY useless offers and coupons i\u2019ll never use&#8230;<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">But, there are a couple sender\u2019s who give me a warm and tingly sensation of pleasure when I come across there name in my inbox. They stick out like a sore thumb and I actually ENJOY <i>opening up<\/i> for them.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Why&#8230;?<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Because i know that they are going to deliver VALUE.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Because they\u2019re looking out for me, and I not only respect them, but i trust and appreciate what they send me.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Which one of those two people are you?<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Are you just sending out a quick monthly <i>e-Blast<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">\u00a0 <\/span><\/i>that generally produces very little response and even less <i>results<\/i> for your brand?<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Is it a CHORE you HAVE to do, and mostly feel like it\u2019s something that <i>you know you should<\/i> be doing, and that really is <span class=\"s1\">the MAIN reason<\/span>, that you are even bothering with it at all?<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">So, how could you change that?<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">The common denominators that i\u2019ve noticed between those FEW who stand-out and whose emails happily get opened, and the rest of the crowd, is&#8230;<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><i>Relevance<\/i> &#8211; They send me information about things i am interested in, and passionate about. The relationship usually starts off on the right foot, because the reason i opted-in to begin with was because they promised me something, and the reason i stayed was because, they delivered that.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><i>Value<\/i> &#8211; I am almost always pleased with the training, the story, and\/or the recommendations they provide.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><i>Personality<\/i> &#8211; Has their own voice, or established persona, i don\u2019t necessarily need to KNOW the person, i just know who or what they represent to me, and is interesting, inspiring, and\/or engaging.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Consistency &#8211; I hear from them on a consistent basis, whether that\u2019s in regards to industry specific news, their latest project, or new training and content, they keep me up to date.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">So let me ask you again, where do YOU fall in relation to those two opposing classifications?<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">What are you doing or <i>not <\/i>doing, that you could do better?<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Go ahead, email us back and let me know. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Now then,<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">You\u2019ve heard it before, and you\u2019ll hear it again&#8230; The MONEY is in THE LIST!<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">The reason you\u2019ll hear it so often is because&#8230; IT\u2019S TRUE!<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Your email list IS your businesses biggest asset. Period.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">It is <i>your<\/i><span class=\"s1\"> <b>retirement<\/b> fund<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">I know this course is on traffic, but email IS a huge traffic driving tool!<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">I know this course is all about giving you the GOODS&#8230; So it would be irresponsible for me to NOT share some of the secrets to this game as well. \ud83d\ude42 Again, you can thank me later.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">It\u2019s a simple concept. Big lists, send big traffic to targeted web-pages.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">These web pages can be public content or restricted member\u2019s areas containing restricted <i>access<\/i> to content.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Most commonly people will send their list to an offer page, or a new blog post, or survey, to encourage engagement and participation.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">There are really only two ways to drive traffic from email lists&#8230; Either directly from your own lists, or from Other Peoples Lists. (OPL)<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">This is all well and good, but here\u2019s the catch&#8230; You need to have a <b>LARGE<\/b> and <b>RESPONSIVE<\/b> list.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">The problem is that&#8230; Well, that is tough to do, and most people do not even know where to BEGIN to build the darn thing.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Since i know that this is a big question my clients have, i know you may have some questions about<i> actually doing<\/i> that as well.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Here is about 5 years of the hidden list building secrets that everyone is always trying to convince you to pay lots of money to learn about.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Again, the reason i am so candid and forthcoming, rather than hypey and belligerent is because i know that success online, and with your brand, come down to THREE simple things&#8230;<\/p>\n<ol class=\"ol1\">\n<li class=\"li1\">The Right Knowledge<\/li>\n<li class=\"li1\">The Right Strategy<\/li>\n<li class=\"li1\">Persistent and Consistent Action<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p class=\"p1\">I WANT you to SUCCEED.
