So… It\u2019s Just too big NOT to address now… I usually wouldn\u2019t take the time on something like this… But here\u2019s my thought on this whole twilight series madness\u2026<\/p>\n

I have nothing against the actors in the movie, and am happy for them and their success. Seriously. I just don’t get it. That’s fine. But the obsession, and constantly seeing the marketing and hearing about it EVERYWHERE has me concerned and curious about whether other people consciously recognize the situation-least, the way i see it. And\/or just ignore it because they truly do enjoy the movie series\u2026? let me hear your thoughts.<\/p>\n
Actually, the actress in the movie is pretty hot – and has some interesting appeal and sexiness that is\u2026 well, im still not sure exactly what it is.<\/p>\n
again, im not some bitter dude, complaining about the next thing that is wrong with.. my boss\u2026 my job\u2026 music, etc.<\/p>\n
and while i do from time to time “complain” about some “music and artists”<\/p>\n
I don’t think it is without merit. At any rate, Im not a negative person. I am passionate and sometimes confrontational as opposed to passive, but i like to get to the bottom of things and address things head on-with a focus on the bigger picture, and a certain bias for clarity.<\/p>\n
This is admittedly not an acceptably pleasant characteristic in most social circles, in my experience, however.<\/p>\n
It’s now something i have labeled as a “bad habit..” and have developed a tolerance for resisting a disposition to debate and argue with people’s points, behavior, opinions, etc. because i often GENUINELY disagree and don’t UNDERSTAND why and what it was.<\/p>\n
however, i am calling it like i see it. i believe positive thinking is a great thing.<\/p>\n
but there are trivial things (like opinions on movies..) that “just being honest” about-despite that it might sound “rude,” is better than just being delusional.<\/p>\n
Here is the simple truth about the twilight saga, and what seems obviously transparent to me as to what the deal is with what the girl (the one who plays bella) or at least what my intuition tells me from reading her body language and her responses. Of course, this observation is not factual, but it does seem pretty obvious\u2026 i hope if you agree or thought the same thing you’ll comment, it would be interesting to see.<\/p>\n
The twilight saga is simply a bad movie. it is the definition of over-rated mtv b-class film & cleverly deployed million dollar marketing campaigns. it’s allure and phenomenal reception by teeny boppers and women of all ages is based on nothing other than a good looking cast. c’mon. The plot, the story-line, the over-produced, over-hyped, bla bla bla.. took over the media to the point where i am eating a “jacob” wrapped taco, drinking an edward labeled soft drink, while enduring another tv-ad at the same time\u2026 pretty absurd if you ask me\u2026 but, who am i? certainly not “everyone.” For good and for bad.<\/p>\n
anyway, the chick “bella actress” acts passively arrogant and disengaged when talking about her success with the “twilight saga” because she is not satisfied or proud of the fact that her “big recognized success” is for her role in that\u00a0 film. She has obviously been a part of other films that she gave her all too that\u00a0 no one saw or cared about\u2026 but the astounding success of this overhyped – mtv crapper\u2026 is not one of them.<\/p>\n
she is probably as confused as i am that this many people are going nuts over a glossy dime a dozen flick. She probably doesn’t want to be renowned for her work on this one.<\/p>\n
so whats the point of this\u2026? why would you spend the time to write this out?<\/p>\n
obviously you are either bitter, or some kind of a “purist,” right..?<\/p>\n
well\u2026 i actually didn’t mean to spend the whole hour writing this. maybe that proves that on some level i am some of that stuff\u2026<\/p>\n
Yet the motivating POINT for writing this post is that by endorsing this type of film on such a massive scale\u2026 what does that say to the big film execs who have the money and resources to make big budget movies? the film execs who produce those movies FOR OUR entertainment\u2026?<\/p>\n
that right\u2026 you guessed it.<\/p>\n
Now\u2026 ESPECIALLY in these economic times\u2026 Where businesses and profit based service providers are in a position to essentially “increase the value” of their product, run their business more efficiently, market more effectively, etc.<\/p>\n
Basically, RUN THEIR BUSINESS BETTER.<\/p>\n
For even the massive conglomerates, the bottom-line has become the focal<\/p>\n
point for what they create, and how they create it.<\/p>\n
So if these executives see that “THIS TYPE” (of movie) works and is viable to selling tickets and making a buzz-worthy blockbuster\u2026. then MORE of THAT is what they’ll continue to make. which kinda sucks doesn’t it?<\/p>\n
sure, we got the independent filmmakers thank-god, but i don’t know about you\u2026 but when i go see the big blockbuster for $20, i want to be satisfied that the big names, big budget, big resources, are surrounding a GREAT—STORY.<\/p>\n
So what\u2026 it’s just one movie, relax\u2026 Avatar was good now wasn’t it?<\/p>\n
Yes, Avatar was definitely good, i agree.<\/p>\n
I could be crazy\u2026 Well, im probably crazy\u2026 but thats not my point.<\/p>\n
The whole thing is that by endorsing things like this, we “as consumers” give ourselves a bad name and make ourselves look like a “retarded mass market,”<\/p>\n
when we are really in control\u2026 thats what it all boils down to\u2026 if we don’t buy something, businesses wont make that and\/or get away with crappy products.<\/p>\n
