Nice tune Jamie! I love the upbeat and happy feeling this song projects. You’ve got a great voice…keep up the great tune creation. Good luck to you on getting it placed~Patricia
Thanks Patty, nice to hear from you again!
I dig it Jamie, I have already subscribed to your email and look forward to your lesson plan. It’s nice to have somebody offering advice that not only has past experience, but is still currently active in the scene. Things have gotten waaay overwhelming with all of the online media tactics there are. And I’m only 23.
Thanks for joining us Emily! I hear ya… and i’ve done a lot of work simplifying things down to some very focused frameworks and strategies.
Cheers
Jamie I really like On the Other Side! Well done
Thank for listening!
Jamie, My first thoughts will be as a listener and my second thoughts will be as a singer/songwriter.
1 I used headphones. The song, recording and performance of it was pleasantly quirky, catchy, and upbeatish. I’d estimate that 10-20% of the lyrics I didn’t catch.
2 I used headphones. As a contemporary I’ll repeat 1 and expand on it. I’m probably showing my age but a lyric sheet would’ve eliminated missing some words and possibly the optimum projection of the lyric. Good job on the recording. I have an old Tandy amp and when I listened without headphones I didn’t hear the nuances you added to the recording. If you did all the vocal parts it sounded okay. I can vision your aim in reference to this song’s use.
Thanks for the comments. I’ve noted your suggestions, and will probably be re-cutting the chorus.
Cheers
